H.R. 645-FEMA Detention Centers

I've been trying to post a video about Fema Concentration Camps in the U.S., but for some reason, it, and the text of this post will not publish together.

I will post it separately, because I think it is very interesting, and you'll find it below this post.

I've been reading about these camps for quite some time, at least for a couple of years, including debates about whether or not they actually exist--so, I guess I was a little shocked when I came across the video about Fema Concentration Camps.

I had intended to post the following article, which others are posting, too, and while researching a few facts, just happened upon the video.

Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations.

The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany.

The bill also appears to expand the president's emergency power, much as the executive order signed by President Bush on May 9, 2007, that, as WND reported, gave the president the authority to declare an emergency and take over the direction of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments without even consulting Congress.

Read the rest of it here.

Okay..I know there will be a lot of nay-sayers out there, ready to ridicule, and call names like "fear mongerer," but so be it; there are just as many, if not more, with sense enough to believe that it does not bode well.

No doubt, in another time, and another place, there were many who did not heed warning of what was about to befall them, thinking that it just could not happen in their civilized world...but it did.

Reading back over what I have just written reminds me of this quote by American philosopher George Santayana (1863-1952) : "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

That guy is an idiot, but he's typical of the people in charge now and I wouldn't put anything past them.

forward this post on to tv stations, news casters, fox and cnn and demand that they let the public know that the government needs to disclose to the people what this is all about.

We're looking more and more like Hitler's Germany every day. I don't like it and I will not go silently.

Hermit..neither would I!

Anonymous..unfortunately, I'm sure that they know all about it.

The problem is that they don't seem to care, but it's for sure, folks need to be waking up to what is going on.

Papa Frank..yes, we are, but too many are ignoring that fact, as obvious as it is.

As a friend of Bill at Countryview Woodcrafts used to say," I love my country, but I fear my government". I think our nation will not be the same in the future that it has been in the past. DM

Don..I think you're right, and I never thought I would see this country in the position it's in right now.

I think this is a nightmare that is coming a reality.

Thanks for dropping by..now, don't be a stranger. :)

One good thing about your blog, Jan. I'm getting lots of people to squeal on if the government grabs me.

I figure if I roll over on enough people, Herr Von Duckey of the Secret Police may spare me.

Hermit..would that be the same Duckey who keeps popping up on the other blogs? LOL

I guess we all should be at least a little worried..some more than others, from what I can see.

Although we are able to joke about it, it is not too far fetched an idea that some people might end up in gulags someday, if things keep going the way they are.

I heard or read the other day that riots are inevitable as the economy tanks.
This compound is even more interesting when you remember the speech saying he wanted military boots on the ground in the USA.

Jan said...

Linda..I have no doubt about that happening, sooner or later.

What is really interesting, to me, is that Gitmo is being closed to much public fanfare, while these compounds are being quietly prepared.

Tracy..I know what you mean.

In spite of all the spiel about transparency, there's way too much that's not being revealed to suit me.

Thanks for dropping by, and welcome! :)
