A Little Too Much

Okay, this is getting to be a little too much, if you ask me. No longer is anyone allowed to mention his middle name without being called a racist, or accused of trying to incite murder and mayhem, but now radio talk hosts are being censored for saying things that some are offended by, even though it's the truth!

What's next, having to guard every word that comes out of our mouths, and being wary of everyone who may be in earshot of our conversations? Will we have to start mistrusting friends, acquaintances, and even members of our own families?

The direction that things seem to be headed now, could assure those that speak out will end up in a gulag, somewhere. No, that's in Russia. Here, they're called internment camps, aren't they?

What in the world prompted this foolish talk, you ask?

Well, this had something to do with it:

"A talk-radio host was reprimanded on air by his executive producer Wednesday after he received complaints about his coverage of Sen. Barack Obama.

KDKA-AM 1020 host Kevin Miller was silenced when executive producer P.J. Kumanchik read a CBS statement accusing Miller of being unfairly biased against Obama."

"We want to apologize to listeners who have found your show offensive," Kumanchik said to Miller on the air."

Read all about it here.

And be very afraid.

Or, at the least, very incensed.
