Trusting That He Will Make All Things Right..

Sometimes, things happen that we don't understand, but it is said that all things happen for a reason. The outcome of this election is not what I would have wished for, and it is true that many are rejoicing, but there are many who believe that this is the beginning of a darkness unlike anything we have experienced before.

None of us know what tomorrow may bring. All that one can do now is to accept the things that we are unable to change, and to keep hoping that the things which can be changed, will be, and to pray that those in authority over our great nation will honor and respect that which is good and right, and act accordingly toward all.

May there be enough light to expell the darkness, that we may dwell together in peace and harmony.

I will not be blogging about this anymore.

I leave you with this, the Prayer of Serenity.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Daniel 4:17 KJV

Well said Jan.

Now we must consider if accepting those things we cannot change will eventually be our fate.

Godspeed America, Godspeed

The most important part of this prayer is often overlooked..."COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN"

We have two choices now..hide our heads and hope for the best or FIGHT for change. We as conservatives sat by..well, many did..while our so called conservative political representatives took the actions that gave way to the socialists to take control of our republic and putting them in position to destroy it. Now we have to change that..and we can. We have to start now looking at the elections two years from now...and my prayer to my creator is that I live long enough to cast my vote against the socialists just one more time...and the courage to FIGHT them at every turn.

It's morning and I STILL love you, Jan.
This morning we are, once again, Americans all. Regardless of color, beliefs, gender, religion.
I don't really trust politicians much and I'll be watching this new administration very carefully. I will be first in line, protesting long and loud if ever I believe that the governement is trying to do something that is not in the best interests of the country I love.
But, this morning our country is still in trouble. Foreclosures continue as do job losses and the personal and nation debt continues to rise alarmingly.
It will take all of us, working together as fellow citizens to save our country.
Ghandi said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world." It is not enough to cite what's wrong, we must become the solution.
Smile because you woke up this morning and took a breath -- God has blessed you with another day to enjoy, to make a difference, to count.
I don't know if I'll be here tomorrow or the day after that, but today, I'll count my blessings and try to make my life count. (And I REALLY have to get out of my pajamas and get to work!) And one blessing I'll be grateful for is that my friend Jan is here today.
Peace & Love to you, always,
Rocky

Everybody has to cope with disaster in their own way. Yours is as good as any, Jan.

Dazd..thanks.

I guess we will see soon enough how it will be.

I hope you are well, and enjoying your respite.

Guyk..thanks for your comments.

Yes, we will do our best, and hope for the best.

It has been a rude awakening, and it is going to be that, and more, as time goes by.

Rocky..thanks.

I love, and appreciate your friendship, too.

As always, beautifully said Jan.
We can only look on each new day and do the best we can.

I agree with guyk, we need to pay attention to what's going on and do what we can to protect our first and second amendment rights.

It's good to know who actually holds the keys to real hope.

Hi Jan, I would like to say that I believe God has allowed this person to take office. It is all part of his (Gods) perfectly formed plan. I will pray that Gods plan moves forward unimpeded by by our will. I do pray for those who come against me, and I will continue to pray for whomever is president. I am a veteran and I am very proud to be an American vet. But the greeter battle is yet to come. Yet we are, I feel very close to the most important battle in earths history. I fear no man and nothing but the judgment of God! Go back and read what I quoted from the book of Enoch. Everyday from this to the last I will recite that passage. Keep your eyes on the heavens and God bless you.

Saul..I know where you're coming from!

If people only realized the real significance of what is going on, they would tremble for what is about to happen in the earth.

When I say that I am frightened, or in fear, it is because of those whom have not a clue about what is really happening.

Thanks for your service to our country, and God bless you, too.

She..yes, do the best we can do, one day at a time--and this time, keep our heads out of the sand.

That's a nice post and a thoughtful comment thread, Jan.

Just hold strong in your beliefs, but don't be shy about sharing your thoughts on politics and the presidency in the months and years ahead.

This is a people's government, and Obama will be president of all the people. With great power comes great responsibility, and he must know not to abuse his trust, and God's trust, which is ultimate, I do believe.

Take care.

Jan said...

Donald..I hope and pray that what you've said about Obama being a president of all the people will come to pass.

Whether he will know not to abuse God's trust, remains to be seen.

It will depend upon what is really in the man's heart, and not the words that come out of his mouth.

I'm glad to see that you have a positive attitude, in spite of the circumstances. :)
