Until Then...

I've been giving this a lot of thought, and I have come to the conclusion that it's time to take a break from blogging. Oh, not that I have been faithful, and committed...I haven't. Actually, I am a very poor excuse for what one would normally think of as a "Blogger." A real blogger blogs even when their spirits are low, or if they are not feeling up to par, physically.

The truth is that I have nothing to offer, because I am weary of even thinking of politics, and the state that our country finds itself in, lately. Other than that subject, I have written about myself, and my own experiences, mostly. I'm not sure how interesting that is to others, though, and I'm not an expert in any particular field of interest, so there you are--time to stop, at least for now.

I'll leave everything as it is, and I will still be here, reading other blogs, and happily answering any emails that anyone is kind enough to write. Later, perhaps, I will feel that I have something to write about, worth reading. Until then, thanks to everyone who has been kind enough to drop by...you were more than welcome.

I wanted to leave something uplifting, since it will be here for awhile, so I reposted the picture of the plaque hanging in my family room. I hope that trouble never knocks on your door, but if it does, I hope it will hear your laughter, and hurry away.

I want to keep as much laughter as possible in my home.

How about you?

Ha, I know how you feel, Jan.

If you looked at my blog you'd see that there is literally week, sometimes months between posts.

Jan, I think you sometimes don't give yourself enough credit for your writing creativity. Your blog posts are always very interesting. But I also understand about being tired and wanting to take a break from things. Your posts will be missed by all of us who visit your blog. And remember always, if it were not for your blog, I would not have had the honor of knowing you as both a friend and a sister in Christ. I know God will continue to bless you. DM

Hello Jan,
We all need blog breaks. Sometimes for quite a while. I've had to take many since I started blogging.
Have a relaxing break no matter how long it takes.
If you would like to email me, you have my email address and feel free anytime Jan.
Wishing you a great evening,
Lydia

Jan, sometimes I think I need a break myself. I have been at it over four years and the only time have missed a day was when I was on the road somewhere there was no connection for my laptop, But you are right...sometimes it does turn into work...especially n the days I feel bad and just really don't fell like posting. But I do anyway and sometimes those post turn out to be liked by the readers better than some I work hours if not a couple of days on.

But, i ain't gonna quit...it gives me a place to rant as well as the hope that maybe just one more person will read and maybe change his/her mind about supporting our commie prez. If so than it is worth it.

We all go through it, Jan. Just blog when you have something you need to get out.

Remember, it's really, in the end, more for you than for us. When you have something to say, you'll know it.

I go through these phases all the time.

DM..thanks. I, too, am so glad that we have become friends, and I always look forward to the uplifting words you leave with your readers.

I am sure that you are about to burst with happiness, looking forward to life with your new bride.

Just think..only a few more days! :)

Guyk..I know you'll never quit, and I hope you don't. You've stuck with it through it all, haven't you?

Besides, there's always something on there to make me laugh, even when I know you feel like crying from the pain.

I sure like to see what all you an sweetthing are up to in the yard and garden, too. :)

philmon...I'm beginning to see that it happens to a lot of us, but I see, also, that some of us keep coming back. Perhaps, that will be the case with me.

I appreciate that you came by, and left the encouraging words...thank you so much.

Enjoy the time off, maybe a pause will give you some new inspiration for when you feel like blogging again.

Okay, enough of the rest...you're missed!!
It is hard to keep laughter in our home these days for various reasons PLUS the political situation which is getting scarier by the minute.

Maybe I'll take a break, too, but I never do. It's kind of a respite for me to get away from things and blog, to tell you the truth.

God's blessings to you, Honey!
