The fact that Senator Obama, and his campaign, ridicule the idea that he has had any association with Bill Ayers, making it seem of little significance--especially considering that Obama was only eight years old when Ayers, and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, were doing their dirty deeds--doesn't lessen the significance of it. No matter how much they insist that it was nothing more than a mere, working acquaintance of short duration, or that he's just a guy who lives in the same neighborhood, the fact remains that Bill Ayers was, and still is, a dangerous man, with a dangerous agenda, which is to change this country as we know it, if not directly, then by subversive measures, evidenced in his ideology, and in his teaching.
Yet, knowing the background of this man,, who remains unrepentant of his attempts to overthrow the government of this country, who says that he is sorry that he didn't do more, and tramples underneath his feet the American Flag, which is symbolic of freedom to us--there are still those who admire him, and his work, and have signed a petition saying as much. They are the educators in this country--the ones to whom we have entrusted to lead and to teach the youth of this nation. Here's a great in depth article about it:

As if that is not bad enough, Senator Barack Obama did, indeed, launch his Presidential Campaign in the living room of this very man, and no matter how loud the outcry that he was not, nor will ever be influenced by Ayers, it is a truth that a person usually associates with those with like minds, with common ideologies, which says a lot about Obama and his past, and present, associations.
I think it's interesting the different things that are posted on the door of Bill Ayer's office too. That's a picture of it, above.

Upon learning that he would not be prosecuted by the government for his part in the crimes commited as part of the terrorist group, Weathermen Undergrand, he said, “Guilty as hell, free as a bird—America is a great country." That was back in the eighties, when he escaped prosecution because of a technicality
In his book, "Fugitive Days." he writes, concerning whether or not he might use bombs against the U.S. in the future, "I can't imagine entirely dismissing the possibility."
Just in case you're wondering if his feelings have changed, in 2001 he said about this country, "It makes me want to puke."
And that says a lot about the man Bill Ayers.
Before going to the polls to vote for the next leader of our great nation, consider this old cliché: "Birds of a feather, flock together."

Of all the Obama's shady associates Bill Ayers probably matters the most, because he is the key to understanding the agenda of the camp Obama represents and the the means they are going to use to achieve their goals. Once Obama gives education to Ayers and his followers, the next generation of American kids will be conditioned to believe in the same ideas that drove Ayers to bomb the Pentagon. And then American parents will start hearing questions like this one.
Socialism in its ugliest shape is coming to us if Obama gets elected, but people who vote for him will realize this only when it's too late.

I recd a comment from rockync some time ago. I though I recognized him from your site. I thought I'd stop in and see how you're doing. Hope you're well.
If your readers are interested in reading more about some the very conservative, very Republican, very good community minded people with whom Mr. Ayers has relationships, a quick Google will introduce them to many good folks.
The same with ACORN. Google Republican relationships [or use wikipedia] and you'll find many current and prominent members of the GOP [Sen.McCain, Gov.Crist of Florida to name two] who have very complimentary things to say about this long-established group.
Their recent trouble in Ohio was a contractor who victimized them. ACORN paid the contractor to register voters and the contractor falsified about 1% of those registered. ACORN actually identified and separated those problem forms for the state of Ohio, but according to the rules there, they still had to submit those forms.

Ayers is a disaster, and while he may not get an education post in an Obama administration (thank God!), his ideas will drive Democratic policy on education, and more.
But, I'm feeling better about the polls recently, and this race is going to continue to tighten in the days ahead. I'm not going to be surprised when we see even more unhinged outrages on the left, more attacks on McCain, Palin, Joe the Plumer, you name it. These people are desperate and demonic.
By the way, that's Ayers' door, which, in the university's hallways, is basically a proclamation against the U.S. government.

Believe it or not, I read things from the left and from the right, and I weigh what I read very carefully.
Perhaps, some good things have been said about Acorn, but the negative far outweighs the positive.
I do live here where the voter fraud perpetrated by Acorn is rampant, and I am much aware of how things are going here.
Folks were convinced that the election was stolen last time, but that was nothing to what is happening now.
A stolen election is almost a given this time, in my opinion, if the perpetrators are not stopped, and the process corrected to the fullest extent of the legal system.
Unfortunately that looks like it is not going to happen, because the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Democrats, just today.
The justices overruled a federal appeals court that had ordered Ohio's top elections official to do more to help counties verify voter eligibility.
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, faced a deadline of Friday to set up a system to provide local officials with names of newly registered voters whose driver's license numbers or Social Security numbers on voter registration forms don't match records in other government databases.
And this whole thing was because of the underhanded, dishonest, tactics of Acorn.

I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but voter registration fraud [which is what has been done to ACORN by its contractor ] doesn't turn into voter fraud until someone shows up at the polls and tries to identify themselves as Donald Duck and submits false documents that match the false registration. ACORN admits that they have found problem forms and identified the registration fraud. Those problem registration forms will not be put on the voter rolls. No voter fraud has occurred. None can occur unless the fraudulent forms are put on the rolls. Those have been identified and won't be added.
Voter fraud is rare in the United States, according to a 2007 report by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law. Based on reviews of voter fraud claims at the federal and state level, the center's report asserted most problems were caused by things like technological glitches, clerical errors or mistakes made by voters and by election officials.
"It is more likely that an individual will be struck by lightning than he will impersonate another voter at the polls," the report said.
Alex Keyssar, a professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, calls the current controversy "chapter 22 in a drama that's been going on awhile. The pattern is that nothing much ever comes from this."
I'm more concerned about folks whose votes may not be counted than about voters who never show up to vote because they're fictitious.
The more eyes looking at how we vote in the closely contetsted states, the better. We're trying to sell our democracy in parts of the world where they're suspicious of us and our motives. We need to set an example of restraint and fairness.

Richard..in my reply to you, I suppose I should have said that the 'potential' for voter fraud is rampant, however, even considering all that you said, there is much more of it going on, than we are made aware of, unfortunately.
One last comment, Jan. There is great concern on both sides as to what this country will look like if the opposition candidate is elected. I don't know for sure anymore myself. What I do know is that we are darned near bankrupt as a nation and as a population of a dwindling number of employed workers and tax payers. Neither candidate will be able to do all the damage we are, from our own perspectives, fearing right now. We all have a long row to hoe in front of us.

The best that we can do, is to examine every bit of information we can get, and vote according to the truth of it.
