Has This Ever Happened To You?

Hey, guys...I would like for you fellow bloggers to tell me what you think about this:

Last night, I posted something from another blog, which I thought had a lot of good information, with the permission of the blogger. The title of that post was "Obama's Second Coming." That was the last thing I posted, however, when I signed on this evening, there was not one, but two posts, of the same thing, which was a YouTube video of Obama making his Texas Primary speech. Now, how do you suppose that happened? I deleted them, but someone saw it before I deleted it, and thanked me for it! It is really upsetting me to think that, somehow, someone was able to post something on my blog, that I didn't want posted.

I would like for you to tell me whether or not this has ever happened to you, and if so, what did you do about it?

Jan, that sounds like someone has your login details, which is NOT good. Change your password immediately, and make sure it not a word but is at least 8 chars long (and even more if you can live with it)and a jumble of characters and numbers. Also report it to Blogger.
The other thing to ask is, was it an EXACT duplicate of the first post? If so then it's possible it was a hiccup in Blogger's software.

It's never happened to me fortunately.

morrisao..yes, as a matter of fact, it was two posts of the same video, with the same time, so I am beginning to think that it was a Blogger glitch.

I've been having problems with Blogger tonight, too.

I think, as you suggested, that I should change my password, though, just in case.

What I don't understand, is how that particular video got posted from YouTube..it's not like I had it in draft.

Thanks, Morris. :)

You're welcome, Jan. :)

But yeah, change your password just in case...

Jan, lately when I'm logging on or making a comment I get a pop-up that says Blogger can't perform that task and offering me the places to log in again. If I do nothing, the task is completed as usual. My Grandson told me that's someone looking like Blogger and fishing for my log on info.
On the other hand, the last time I posted my pictures were uploaded into two different saved posts. So that's possibly what happened to you:)

I've been reading your posts and am so grateful for the work you're doing to reveal the Obama phenomenon and hopefully, to start people asking questions about any substance underlying his words.

I seem to be interupted every time I start to comment here, but not today..
Thank Jan:)

I've had that happen before, usually when I tried to post a video, then it didn't take, so I posted it again, only to find the next day that both of them were on there.

I, too, would guess it is just a blogger hiccup, but it never hurts to change your login info... No, I've not had it happen.

Jan....could the video have migrated with one of the links attached to the post you posted? I responded to the video post twice yesterday. With the first one I saw only the video on your Blog. After I commented, the Blog said that an error had occurred and it could not post my comment. When I went in a second time to comment, the video was gone and the post you intended to be there was there. The Blog accepted my comment at that time in a normal way.
The video may have been attached to one of the links to demonstrate or illustrate the "religious fervor" of the crowds at Obama rallys.....to underscore the point of the post. ??? [Of course, I viewed the crowds as being appreciatively attentitive.]
I hope you find some understanding of what occurred yesterday. Richard

She..I think that it was just a glitch, and nothing to be concerned about, really. Sometimes, when I try to sign in, it says that I need to clean caches or something, but I usually don't do anything, and discover that I am, indeed, signed in, so who knows?

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation. I hope to continue to post anything that I find helpful, or of interest, concerning the subject of Obama. :)

Hermit..I hadn't tried to post a video, or anything, which is what was puzzling.

Blogger has been acting up a little, lately, and I think that's all it was.

Richard..the reason you couldn't comment is that I deleted both the posts, probably at the same time you were trying to comment.

I am sure that it didn't come from a link from the previous post. I had viewed the video, as I said, on a pro-Obama site a few days before, so if it came from anything like that, no doubt that's how it happened.

And,of course, your perspective would be entirely different from mine when it comes to Obama. :)

Hello Jan, No, this has never happend to me, but other strange stuff has. I never knew that other people could post on our blogs. Have you gotten in touch with blogger. It's quite hard to get a response from them at times.

Hello again Jan, Would you mind if I placed your blog on "my favorite blogs" list?

Lydia..no, I haven't contacted Blogger, and I think that it is really nothing to worry about, for now. I do remember that you had a lot of problems with your password, which is why I have been hesitant in changing mine.

It is possible for a hacker to do things to a blog, but I don't think that is what happened..I think it was nothing but a glitch, either with Blogger, or maybe even my server. If it happens again, I will notify someone.

I would be more than pleased to have you add my blog to your favorites..and I will reciprocate! :)

Thank You Jan, I will add you now.
