A very sensible stance that is probably more crucial today than it was then. I think once the election is over and we have a new seated president, we should all send this speech to the White House and our state reps.
I've always admired T. Roosevelt, and I love this speech.

rockync..we could send copies until the cows come home, but I doubt that it would do any good, don't you?
It would be nice if the average citizen did have that kind of influence on our elected leaders, that they would be moved to do something about the problem.
She..yes, and there is also the old saying that a house divided against itself cannot stand, and that is pretty much what we have in this country.
Hermit..yes, too bad that no one was interested, obviously.
