ZZZZZ....

I know that there are a lot of tired puppies out there after all the festivities with family and friends--with all the preparations and clean-ups afterwards--and there are even more to look forward to in the coming days. So, I thought of all of you, my friends, when I saw this, and it was just too good not to share!

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home. He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour.
This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap."
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with ten children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"

I love this story Jan! I posted a story about a dog getting away from a child today too! Who says 'dumb' animals!
I'm printing the Laws of the Cherokee to post on my bulletin board, so I can read them now and again. There are several I want to work on:)

Great story. Some of those animals are pretty smart, but 10 kids! What was SHE thinking?! LOL

Cute story, Jan! Wouldn't we all like to get away for a quiet nap now and then?

About working on the Laws of the Cherokees, well I think that most of us could work a little more on them, too! :)

yehudi..I know someone who is doing that right this minute..but I won't tell! He took me to lunch and shopping, so I guess it is the least I can do! :)

I liked that story. I tried to leave a comment last night but it wouldn't work for me. Don't know what blogger has against me.

Hermit..don't worry about it. I've been having the same problem for several days. I'm sure that a lot of my blogger friends think that I've forgotten them. I hope that whatever is wrong with the comment feature will be resolved soon.
