Liar, Liar?
In President Obama's Address to Congress, last night, he said:
I know there are some in this chamber and watching at home who are skeptical of whether this plan will work. I understand that skepticism. Here in Washington, we've all seen how quickly good intentions can turn into broken promises and wasteful spending. And with a plan of this scale comes enormous responsibility to get it right.
That is why I have asked Vice President Biden to lead a tough, unprecedented oversight effort — because nobody messes with Joe.
HUH??
Nobody messes with Joe?
Where'd he get that information, and I wonder what he meant?
That statement keeps bouncing around in my mind, stirring up a memory of another statement I've heard before.
Hmmm...let me think.
Oh, I know..."Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job!"
I wonder if Obama's statement will come back to bite him in the gluteus maximus, like Bush's did to him?
Read Obama's Address to Congress.
Try to keep this phrase from taking over your thoughts as you read: "Liar, liar, pants on fire."
I tried, but it didn't work.

As my boy Jimmi said...Hey Joe, where you going with that gun in your hand.
Sam..Jimi, as in Hendrix? He had a few songs with that word in them, didn't he? :)
I'm not an advocate of violence, but with what seems to be coming down the pike, I think people will be wishing they had some way of protecting what they own.
If Joe "The Doofus" Biden is in charge, we're sunk.
Joe who? If my memory serves my correctly, Jumping Joe Biden tried several times to win the presidentcy himself and couldn't even make it past the very earliest primary races. DM
I could hardly stomach the BS coming out of the television last night. It's a good thing all my guns were locked away in my safe or I'd be in need of a new TV today. To watch Obama say that he doesn't want bigger government is infuriating beyond measure.
Hi Jan,
I didn't watch Obama speech because I just knew he would upset me and I have enough things upsetting me already. BUT!! I did click on the link here on your blog and read his speech, He is awful windy isn't he? If we could harness his hot air that would be VERY usefull in the alternative energy area wouldn't ot? :) Anyway, I hope you have a great day!
Bill
DC..you're right,but I think we're pretty much sunk, already!
DM..I think he is a loser all the way around, anyway!
At least the people had sense enough to see him for what he was then..it's just too bad Obama couldn't.
Oh, I forgot..Obama doesn't care, anyway, as long as he accomplishes his agenda.
Papa Frank..I hear you!
I felt ill as I watched, and it was all I could do to keep watching.
Just hearing the lies roll off his tongue with such ease was bad enough, but having to watch Biden and Pelosi at the same time was almost more than I could bear!
When he talked about the CEOs, and how he was going to put a stop to their shenanigans(my word)and Pelosi jumped up, wildly applauding, I wanted to throw something at the TV..what a hypocrite, flying around in her private plane paid for by the taxpayers!
Oh, I've got to stop this..I'm getting a major headache! LOL
Bill..I'm glad you read it, because if you had watched it, and are like the rest of us, you would have been trying something to throw at the TV, too! LOL
And if he did find a way to harness all his hot air, I'm that he would find a way to make us, the taxpayers, pay for it! :)
