An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle.
She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her voice, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"
The four men didn't wait for a second invitation.
They got out and ran like mad.
The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition.
She tried and tried, and then it dawned on her why.
A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station.
The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing.
He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman, described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun. No charges were filed.
If you're going to have a Senior Moment, make it a memorable one!

fortunate for me my senior moments come with the blessed relief of a faulty memory.
BAWAHAHA!!! And she's known among some circles as rockync! (In another 50 years if I live that long!)
Oh,ok, in another 30 years...
Such a great story! I can see it happening to me any day now!
I want to thank you for your beautiful Vererans Day tribute to our troops. It sadens me that so many people today seem so detached from these young soldiers.
vin..as long as you're not having too many of them..but do you forget? ;)
rockync..LOL, okay, but either way, that's a long time.
sheoflittlebrain..I'm glad that you dropped by, and thanks for all the kind words!
Actually, that did kinda happen to me a few years ago. My husband and I had taken Mother shopping with us, and while he checked out, we went on out to the car. I found our car, helped Mother in, got in myself, and we were sitting there as we watched my husband walk right on by, heading for another car. We laughed, and laughed, thinking that he was going to get into the wrong car. Then I noticed a strange little ornament dangling from the rearview mirror, and to my horror, I realized that we were in the wrong car! I nearly broke my neck, and Mother's arm, getting us out of there, expecting to hear alarms going off all over the parking lot! My husband almost never stopped laughing, and to make it worse, he saw us sitting there, and pretended that he didn't, just to see what we would do. I'm glad that happened, though..it's just another precious memory.
Jan, I'm not sure if I have had any, I can't remember.
vin..well, maybe it's worse than we thought! LOL
I don't know if I should even tell this:
One day a friend and my daughter and I went to another town on a shopping outing. My friend drove. When we came out of one of the stores, we went out, piled into her car and sat waiting for her to start the car. I was in the back seat and thought it looked a bit "different", but couldn't put my finger on it. Sure enough, it wasn't her car!
Silly people. Ought to lock their cars... ;)

My 'real life' story still makes me laugh! My mom and I were kinda like Lucy and Ethel, sometimes! You can guess which one was Lucy! LOL
